The L.I.F.E. Group is specially designed small groups of pre-teens and teenagers with physical disabilities who are grouped according to similar needs in their journey of achieving their independence. The ages of the participants can range from 10 to 18 years old with groups divided into two age categories: 10 to 14 years old and 15 to 18 years old. The groups are focused on developing functional living skills with peers who share similar challenges related to a physical disability and have like goals in life.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

The L.I.F.E. Group\u2019s main goal is for each member of the group to learn how to gain independence in activities of daily living within their own home environment and communities. The L.I.F.E. Group will a source of encouragement to practice activities in routines at home and outside the home with the family\u2019s help to make sure that these skills become a part of everyday life. Each L.I.F.E. Group is a commitment of 6 months, but your child will benefit for a lifetime. Living LIFE to its best is the UCP way.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
