With over three decades of experience in government-sponsored programs for Managed Care and Behavioral Health Services, Brenda Hanserd brings a wealth of expertise to UCP in her role as Chief Executive Officer. In this position, she is responsible for the daily management and long-term vision of UCP, one of Arizona’s oldest non-profit health and human service organizations for adults and children with disabilities, serving almost 3,000 families each year.
Brenda’s broad experience includes serving in executive positions with Quality Care Network, United Health Group, Care 1st Health Plan and more. Well known for her collaborative leadership style that focuses on strengths, development and the empowerment of others, she is respected for her ability to increase employee engagement.
Prior to becoming the CEO, Brenda was the Chief Financial Officer where she was directly responsible for the management of an annual budget of more than $13 million comprised of a variety of complex funding sources including federal, state and private insurance.
Brenda holds a Business Finance Degree from the University of Arizona and is an Arizona native, with family roots going back three generations in Mesa, Arizona.
