Empowering Resilience Through Leadership

Tommie Harris Jr., MBA, Ph.D.: A Legacy of Excellence, Resilience, and Inspiration

Tommie Harris Jr. embodies excellence, unwavering faith, and a commitment to transformation on and off the field. A retired NFL star and a man after God’s heart, Tommie’s journey transcends athletic achievement. Born in Germany and raised in Killeen, Texas, his passion for the game was evident at Ellison High School, where he quickly emerged as one of the nation’s most dominant defensive tackles. His exceptional leadership and talent earned him a place at the University of Oklahoma, where he received the prestigious Lombardi Award. In 2004, the Chicago Bears selected him as a first-round pick, and his explosive play and relentless drive led to multiple Pro Bowl selections, establishing his legacy as one of the most outstanding defensive linemen of his era.
In 2012, shortly after his wedding, Tommie experienced the profound loss of his wife, Ashley—a heartache that transformed his life. Rather than succumbing to despair, he turned his grief into a mission of hope, using his journey of faith, self-discovery, and resilience to inspire others. Today, Tommie is a sought-after motivational speaker, mentor, and humanitarian whose work spans global outreach initiatives, from supporting U.S. troops in Germany and Saudi Arabia to assisting impoverished communities in Africa.
