Arizona State Capitol Illuminated in Green for Cerebral Palsy Awareness

Significant Milestone for UCP of Central Arizona

Representative Judy Schwiebert’s Advocacy Efforts

This past March, we marked a significant milestone for United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Arizona and the cerebral palsy community across the state. On March 25th, coinciding with World Cerebral Palsy Day, the executive tower of the Arizona State Capitol was illuminated with green lights, drawing attention to the importance of early detection and intervention for Cerebral Palsy.

The initiative to light up the iconic state capitol building was championed by Representative Judy Schwiebert, representing Arizona’s 2nd District. Through her dedicated advocacy efforts, Representative Schwiebert secured approval from the Arizona House of Representatives to illuminate the executive tower in green and officially proclaim March 25th as Cerebral Palsy Day in Arizona. This proclamation and visual display served as a powerful symbol of support and recognition for individuals living with cerebral palsy and their families.
